Rainbow Snippet 23-24  April

Rainbow Snippets is a group for LGBTQ + authors, readers, and bloggers to gather and share six sentences from a work of fiction- a WIP or a finished work, or a book recommendation.

We would like to thank you for visiting our blog and reading, and commenting on the snippets from Druids Lodge.

Here's another snippet from  Druids Lodge. Due out on May 2nd, at Dreamspinner Press.

It is a bit intimidating with a panther by my side.”
“The ultimate accessory. Beats a man bag, doesn’t it?” Finn plucked Luke’s beanie from his head and ruffled the short blond hair. “He’s a cat, tends to see things in black and white, but he’s learning. With you to guide him, he’ll catch on fast.”
“Oh, I don’t know. Fair warning, if I catch him drinking from the toilet, I’ll be sporting a fancy new panther-skinned man bag”—Luke combed his hair back in place with his fingers—“with matching beanie.”

  1. For some reason, I can't like or respond to this on Facebook. :( I have no idea if this is because of the block to my own inspirationcauldron.blogspot.com on Facebook, or something else. :( I just wanted you to know I liked it very much. I thought it was a great scene, plus I loved the dynamic between your two characters.

  5. I'd love to have a panther for a friend. (But for some reason I keep thinking of an Ogden Nash poem:
    " A panther is like a leopard
    except it hasn't been peppered
should you behold a panther crouch
    prepare to say ouch
better yet, if called by a panther
    don't anther."
