Rainbow snippet 4th and 5th June.

.
An unedited snippet from a manuscript we are working on. Set in Victorian England.

Jacob Doone visits London in search of his twin brother. His only lead, a flyer advertising a production of, Dr Faustus, at the Regents Theatre. On the back  his brother had penned. Must see! M, is simply outstanding. Love J.
M, turns out to be Mephistopheles. Played by the enigmatic, Christian DeLaCroix

Beautiful Deception.

Will pulled a chair out and sat, his gaze locked on Christian’s reflection in the mirror. “The novelty has worn off a little quicker this time?” Will leaned back and propped his feet on the rickety side table, then took a sip of brandy.
“I have become soft as an old woman in my dotage.” Christian raised his glass in a salute.
“And grumpy,” Will added over the top of his glass before taking another sip.
“Perhaps I’ve overstayed my welcome, became complacent. Maybe I need a good war to hone my senses back to the hunter, the monster that lurks inside.”
